Things you need to know

Location

Unley High School, 101 Kitchener St Netherby

Parking

In consideration of the neighbours it is requested that you avoid parking in the streets surrounding the pitch. The school has made the southern carpark available for FHC as an interim until access to the pitch is available from the northern carpark. Please see the map below. We know it will be very tempting to park on Kitchener St or other side streets but the impact of on street parking is one of the major concerns of our neighbours and we appreciate your support in maintaining and improving our community relationships. There is a walk of a few minutes from the carpark to the pitch entrance.

For the safety of the people using the pitch,  please do not drive down the lane off the roundabout to access the pitch, the lane is for pedestrian and emergency vehicle access only. There isn't a turning zone in the lane which means that the only way out is to reverse back down the lane onto the roundabout creating a further safety hazard.

Please note, if you are dropping someone off for training, please drop them off on Kitchener St in front of the George Cresswell Hall. If you are waiting to collect after training, please use the southern school carpark.

Lights

The lighting system has two lighting levels with a high level to support matches and a lower level to support training. The training sessions, which start on 6 August, will use the lower-level setting.

The system will automatically turn the lights off at 10:00 pm if they are not turned off earlier. The lights must be turned off as soon as possible with everyone safely off the pitch and absolutely by 10.00pm.

Toilets

There are two plumbed in temporary toilets at the pitch entrance.

Drinking water

There is a tap adjacent to the temporary toilets for drinking water.

Changerooms

We do not have changeroom facilities yet. The temporary toilets are small but can be used if necessary but please come dressed to train or play.

Shelter

There is a small shelter on the side of the soccer field. There is space for bags at the entrance to the pitch or as directed by club volunteers. We will assess weather conditions and continue to explore temporary shelter options.
